The Others Brothers are a son and father duet who are no strangers to gigging. They have played and toured together and with others! Buster Fewings has played across Canada six times with his band The Mayhemingways and with Juno award winning Joel Plaskett. Dan Fewings completed two Eastern Canada tours with his friend and former student Jimmy Bowskill. Dan is also know for his improvisation music comedy work as part of the Three Martinis Trio and as Emcee for the Annual Birdtown Jamboree and Simcoe Heritage Festival.

The tournament provides an opportunity to recognize the important contributions that seasonal agricultural workers make to our farms, local communities, and food systems.

This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 60 years of the Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program (SAWP). With global attention on soccer through FIFA-related events, we believe this is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the stories, cultures, and contributions of the workers who help put food on our tables.

We start serving at Noon and the and the meal is available until 8pm – or until supplies last; whichever comes first. The Simcoe Heritage  Friendship Festival Classic Car Show is returning to Lynnwood Park August 2nd, after attracting a record 230 vehicles last year, with organizers expecting another strong turnout.

The event has grown from its Corvette roots into a show welcoming all makes and models. Organizers say the park’s shaded setting and relaxed atmosphere continue to attract car enthusiasts from across Southwestern Ontario.

The annual, family-friendly Simcoe Heritage Friendship Festival is back on the Civic Holiday long weekend in downtown Simcoe, Ontario, and it is chock full of fun things to do all weekend long!

The Festival runs from Fri. July 31 - through to Monday August 3, and there is something for everyone!

Crees in the Caribbean by Drew Hayden Taylor is a delightfully witty yet deeply touching play about Evie and Cecil Poundmaker, a Cree couple celebrating their 35th anniversary with their first trip abroad—a Mexican resort vacation gifted by their children.  

The comedy sparkles as this fish-out-of-water couple navigates resort life with laugh-out-loud exchanges rooted in decades of shared history. Curmudgeonly Cecil and spirited Evie fill the stage with humorous banter, but the play unfolds as a truly heartfelt journey as memories resurface, and Evie gently pushes Cecil to seize each moment. In addition, their new friendship with Manuela, their young housekeeper, is profoundly moving.  

This play is a beautiful, poignant story celebrating human connection across cultures; the comic joy of love rekindled and self-discovery in later life against an idyllic backdrop.  

Duke Street Turn Around is a six piece bluegrass and Canadiana band showcasing tight vocal harmonies and killer acoustic playing. The show consists of a mixture of traditional bluegrass, Canadian folk classics, fiddle instrumentals and original material. Their shows get toes tapping and heads bobbing!
