We are excited to announce that we are taking over the Duck Race at the Simcoe Heritage Friendship Festival!
This fan favourite is a staple at the annual local event, with participants purchasing a numbered ticket to take part in the fun at 2pm on Monday, August 5th in Clifton Park, where tubs of numbered rubber duckies (newly cleaned by Pure Environmental Restoration Services & Safety Supplies!) are released into the Lynn River by the windmill, where they then race to the finish line at the bridge on Norfolk Street.
The ticket holder with the same number as the first duck to the finish line will win $500, 2nd place will take home $250, and 3rd place will receive $100. You do not have to be present to win, however, it is recommended to join the crowds that gather every year to watch this tradition and root for the duckies.
The winner will be announced at 3pm at the Main Stage in Wellington Park.
Tickets are $5 each (cash only), and can be purchased by visiting ABEL Enterprises at 447 Queensway West in Simcoe, or our Monday Night Bingo July 22nd, or at the ABEL Enterprises Duck Race Booth at the Simcoe Heritage Friendship Festival all weekend leading up to the race, but with only 500 tickets available it is best to buy early!
We would also like to thank Second Ave Printing Ltd for covering the costs of printing the tickets for this fundraiser.
