We are fortunate to have a perfect forcast for next Wednesday. Sunny skies and 1 degree! Lets go wander on the Four Oaks trail. This is one more of the Nature Conservancy of Canada's properties. This property is another retired agricultural land. This hike will take us through a portion of Carolinian forest and restoration area that has been planted with the seeds 100's native plants including grasses, wildflower, shrubs and trees. This property is a gem in July and August due to the amount of butterflies that it attracts.
This hike will be a long one as the Four Oaks trail is not a complete loop so we will have to hop on other trails to create our own loop. Bring clothing that is suitable for the weather. Wear footware that is comfortalbe and deffinately pack food and water. Keep in mind that there are no garbage cans. Be prepared to pack out what you pack in. Sometimes we encounter litter on the trail so we sometimes pack out extras that arent ours.
Due to Covid protocol and for your health we are only permitted to have two groups no larger than five people each. That number includes one interpreter and four guests.
