Soup Art Bowls is back!
From 2009 until 2019 Soup Art Bowls was a popular and successful fundraiser for the Norfolk Arts Centre. The event was orphaned when the gallery was temporarily closed due to municipal budget cuts, followed by prolonged pandemic restrictions.
The Port Dover Senior Centre and the Norfolk Potters' Guild are working together to bring this well-loved event to Port Dover.
Soup Art Bowls is a fun, casual social event. For a $25 ticket, guests receive a pottery bowl of their choice, handmade by a member of the Norfolk Potters’ Guild, and the opportunity to sample as many gourmet soups as they would like, prepared and served by local restaurants. There will also be music, a cash bar, and prizes. Soup can be enjoyed at tables with friends, or while guests are on the move in between serving stations.
Confirmed participating restaurants include the Erie Beach Hotel, 211 Main, Trish’s Gluten Free Bakery, the Urban Parisian, and Knechtel’s. More restaurants are anticipated to sign on soon.
Tickets are available at:
Port Dover Jewelry and Gifts, 343 Main Street
Dover Cheese Shop, 307 Main Street
Carter’s Men’s & Ladies Wear, 42 Norfolk Street South in Simcoe
Tickets are also available from Port Dover Senior Centre and Norfolk Potters’ Guild board members.
The Port Dover Senior Centre is a community-run, not-for-profit organization operating within the Port Dover Lions Community Centre. The centre offers fitness, creativity, information, and social engagement programs weekly to more than 300 members.
