Travel Thursdays - Long Point Eco Adventures & Marshview Patio

Great news for those who are looking to spend some vacation time within driving distance - you don’t have to go to the Rainforest to zipline! All you need to do is find your way to Long Point Eco Adventures located just outside of Turkey Point, Ontario. Keep in mind that they have so much more to do if heights isn’t your thing! According to their website, Long Point Eco Adventures is Ontario's Greatest Outdoor Resort and we totally agree! They are the ultimate destination for families, couples, and corporate groups in search of a unique outdoor getaway. From playing to staying and eating, they’ve completely got you covered.

They offer an outdoor dining area, the Marshview Patio, which is so yummy and uses locally sourced ingredients. The creative menu is designed by the amazing Chef Shelli Bosgoed (who we know personally and love). “Shelli's career as a top chef began nearly 12 years ago when she first took on the role of 'Sous Chef', and seamlessly prepared a meal for 250 guests. After numerous compliments and recognition for her ability to coordinate unique flavours, Bosgoed chose to decline her acceptance into a nursing program to pursue an alternate science; her passion for food.”

If you’re looking to stay there are different options to consider but I am excited to try the Mabee Marsh Cabin which I didn’t know existed! I have 4 kids so for us it can be difficult to find room to spread out but if you are a smaller family or travelling without kids, the glamping sites are so cool! You’ll find Long Point Eco Adventures just a few minutes outside of Turkey Point, about an hour and a half from Toronto and about the same in the opposite direction to London. A huge bonus is the fact that it is just a short drive to the Turkey Point beach, small town shopping, markets, the marina and a beautiful Trail System to walk and bike.
